TRUTH OR DARE

Never fly too high –

The wings of intrepidity may be delicate and refined,

Carrying the reckless beyond the bounds of mankind,

But are always bound to wither and fade

When they challenge the jealousy of the Sun’s blaze.

Never dream too big –

The visions of awe may be alluring and divine,

Revealing kingdoms where Heaven and earth align,

But are always bound to darken and decay

When they awaken the cruelty of the mortal way.

Never stray too far –

The paths of wonder may be endless and inviting,

Leading the brave beyond the borders of knowing,

But are always bound to vanish and dissolve

When they are haunted by the echoes of home.

Never feel too much –

The depths of the heart may be boundless and vast,

Holding oceans of passion, devotion, and lust

But are always bound to drown the soul

When it mistakes the whole for its own.
